Named by truck drivers who stop in our parking "The Motor Boat" Restaurant Vapor is a place known and appreciated by many tourists.
Family Tufis opened the restaurant on the ship Oituz in 1999 in Drobeta Turnu Severin, Mehedinti county, Romania, river km 939 about two kilometers downstream from the dam Iron Gates 1, the original name of the restaurant was "Friendship" or "the ship of Friendship" .
Now is called "Restaurant Vapor."
Downstream, follows Cabana Restaurant Marconi, Taverna Sarbului Restaurant, Restaurant on the ship Mehedinti, upstream is Continental restaurant.
So basically it is located on the Danube between Continental Restaurant and Cabana Restaurant Marconi (downstream of Cabana Restaurant is Restaurant Taverna Sarbului).
From our ship you can see Serbian village Sip (Serbia).
Since then the family has managed to maintain this family business .

La vaporas-Drobeta Turnu SeverinNumit de catre soferii de tir care poposesc in parcarea noastra “La Vaporas”, Restaurantul Vapor este un loc cunoscut si apreciat de multi turisti.Familia Tufis a deschis restaurantul pe vaporul Oituz, in 1999 în Drobeta Turnu Severin, judetul Mehedinti, Romania, km fluvial 939 la circa 2 kilometri aval de barajul Portile de Fier 1, numele initial al restaurantului fiind “Friendship” sau la “Vaporul Prieteniei”.Acum se numeste “Restaurant Vapor”.
In aval, urmeaza Restaurant Cabana Marconi, Restaurant Taverna Sarbului, Restaurant pe Vapor Mehedinti, in amonte restaurant Continental.
Deci practic este situat pe Dunare intre Restaurant Continental si Restaurant Cabana Marconi(in aval de Restaurant Cabana este Restaurant Taverna Sarbului).
De pe vaporul vaporul nostru se vede localitatea Sip(Serbia).
De atunci familia Tufiș a reusit sa mentina aceasta mica afacere de familie.Doresti să servesti masa la noi?
